Genworth Financial Scholars Program
Genworth Financial and Lynchburg City Schools recognized our top achieving seniors at a recognition dinner held in their honor Monday, June 4, 6:00 p.m. at the James River Conference Center.
The dinner was sponsored by Genworth Financial with additional support provided by the Lynchburg City Schools Education Foundation, Inc. The event honors the top fifteen seniors from each of our high schools for their superior academic accomplishments. In attendance were the seniors, their families and one teacher who had a significant positive impact on the students K-12 educational experience.
“Our top graduates deserve to be recognized for this great achievement. They have worked hard throughout their school career to earn this honor and we are proud of them,†says Dr. Paul McKendrick, superintendent.
Administrators from our high schools, school board members, representatives from both Genworth Financial and The Lynchburg City Schools Education Foundation, were in attendance.
