Hard Work Honored with Historic Opportunity for Two LCS Students

Heritage High School Junior, Bobby Jones, and E.C. Glass Senior, Kevin Truitte, will attend the inauguration of President-elect, Barrack Obama and the inaugural ball. The two students were selected to take part in a 5 day Presidential Youth Inaugural Conference for high school scholars across the country.
During the opening night of the conference Bobby and Kevin will attend the keynote address by General Colin Powell, USA (Ret.) and Al Gore, Former Vice President and Nobel Prize winner. They will participate in topical debates and candid dialogue between prominent political analysts from both sides of the aisle and Inaugural Scholars. Both students will also learn about presidential politics and campaign strategies from leading experts in the field.
Bobby and Kevin will also attend the Inauguration Day Celebration and Oath of Office, view the parade from the United States Capitol Building with fellow scholars from around the country and will conclude this extraordinary educational experience with the Black Tie Gala Inaugural Ball.
