Eighty members of the E. C. Glass Band and the entire E. C. Glass Orchestra received the “superior” rating for their performances during the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association (VBODA) District VI Band Festival. The festival was held at Lynchburg College the weekend of March 13-14, 2010. The superior rating is the highest possible rating. According to Band Director Larry Seipp, the E. C. Glass band was commended for their “highly polished, professional, completely remarkable, and very musical” performance. Only eight out of 25 high schools received the superior rating.
