The halls of River Ridge Mall were full of music on the afternoon of March 19th thanks to more than 600 children from the Lynchburg City School’s strings program.

They held their Mall Marathon Concert from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. to raise money for the school’s strings program. Children asked people in the community to sponsor them while they played their instruments for three straight hours. This program also prepared the students for the Suzuki Strings Festival which will take place on April 1, 2010 at E. C. Glass High School from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
