The E. C. Glass Air Force JROTC Drill Team competed against thirty other teams during the National Drill Championships in Landover, Maryland this March. The fifteen cadet team placed first in Inspection, second in Exhibition and third in Color Guard.  The team placed fourth overall. In addition, senior Michael Hale placed second out of more than 500 cadets in the Unarmed Knockout competition. The teams for this national competition came from thirteen states including Michigan, New Hampshire and Florida.

On April 30, the Glass Drill Team will defend its title of State Champion during the Virginia Air Force Association State Drill Championship in Richmond. During the meet, the Glass team will compete against more than twenty Virginia Air Force drill units.
