Groups Take First Place in National Competition

The Linkhorne Middle School bands (jazz and concert), orchestra and chorus took first place in every category at the Music in the Parks Festival in Williamsburg in late April. More than forty ensembles from eleven states competed in the competition. The following is a list of awards the students brought home from the day:
Overall Winners: Junior High/ Middle School Concert Band
1st Place: Middle School String Orchestra IA
1st Place: Middle School Women’s Choir A
1st Place: Middle School Concert Band IA
1st Place: Middle School Jazz Ensemble A
Best Jazz Soloist, Middle School: Katie Griffin, Eighth Grade
