Winter Guard is a sport that the E. C. Glass team believes is not getting enough attention. So they are doing everything they can to raise awareness of what is commonly known as the “sport of the arts."

The team will be holding a day-long camp in November to raise money in an effort to compete on the international level.

E. C. Glass has often gone head to head with winter guard teams around the area in Atlantic Indoor Association competitions. Now they are ready to take on the best in the world in a Winter Guard International competition held in Raleigh, NC in February. Thirty-six thousand students from all over the world, including the U. S., Canada, Belgium, Holland, Germany, England, Ireland, Korea, Japan and Africa, compete in the Winter Guard International.

In order to raise funds for the Raleigh event and to prepare the next generation of guard team members, the E. C. Glass team is holding a “Flag Frenzy” for students in fourth through seventh grades.  The day-long camp will take place on Tuesday, November 8 (election day, a non-school day for students) at Linkhorne Middle School's main gym from 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
