The Heritage High School class of Computer Applications students received certificates and recognition from business leaders and financial experts for their completion of the EVER-Fi Economics and Personal Finance course. The students were from all grade levels and took part in the course online with the guidance of their teacher, Mrs. Talya Davis. The course taught students financial literacy by covering topics such as savings, banking, investing, and financing higher education.

School board member and Genworth employee Troy McHenry attended the ceremony, in addition to LCS administrators and representatives of EVER-Fi and American National Bank.

Students attending the ceremony included Nikolas Warren, Amber Klein, Alicia McCray, Essence McCoy, Letisha Rogers, Brianah Mawyer, Daniel Link, Gregory Williams, Shaquila Sandidge, Shawn Johnson, Robert Wood, Brett Watson, and Ty Tracy.

The three-week course was provided via a partnership with Genworth Financial.
