Carnegie HallThe E. C. Glass Chamber Choir has been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in April 2013.

This is an amazing but expensive opportunity, and the members, families and friends of the Chamber Choir have been busy generating funds through gifts, donations and fund raisers to help cover costs. The students and parents have been working concessions at all of the home football games and at the Lynchburg Classic earlier this month. Also, choir members are selling items including note cards featuring a water color of the school’s auditorium entrance donated by a local artist and chorus stickers with the phrase "Sing For The Fun Of It!"

The group still has a long way to go to cover the costs, so a number of fund raisers are planned in the upcoming months.

  • November 5 from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
    E. C. Glass Chorus night at McDonald's on Old Forest Road. The Chamber Choir students will be working to greet guests, serve food and tidy up the dining room. They will earn a percentage of the profit for the evening.
  • November 10 from 8:00-10:00 a.m.
Pancake Breakfast at Applebee’s, Old Forest Road. Chamber Choir students will be greeting guests, serving breakfast and cleaning up to earn a percentage of the ticket sales. Tickets will be on sale beginning October 23rd for $7 and will cost $8 at the door.
  • December 8 from 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
The Mistletoe Market at City Market. The Chamber students and parents will be selling E. C. Glass note cards, chorus stickers, crafts, jewelry and other items donated by local establishments.
