Virginia High School Hall of Fame inductee Chip BerryE. C. Glass Athletic Director Chip Berry was one of seven individuals statewide to be inducted into the 24th Virginia High School Hall of Fame class.

Colleagues and Alumni agree that Coach Berry’s hard work and dedication has had such a positive impact on the lives of many students. His service to Glass, to LCS, to Central VA and to the state of Virginia has been outstanding--both in and out of the classroom. 

Coach Berry began teaching and coaching at Glass in 1978 and became the school’s athletic director in 2005. A legend on the local soccer scene, Coach Berry led the boys’ soccer squad at Glass for 27 years and amassed a 307-129-28 record. He coached his teams to 12 district titles, 21 regional playoff appearances, three rounds of 16 and three final eights. He was named Coach of the Year in 2006 by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, and was twice named state coach of the year by the Virginia High School Coaches Association (2003 and 2007), among many other local recognitions.
