The successful LCS Junior ROTC squads have quite a program in store for the 2013-2014 school year.
Both schools trained during the summer with nationally-recognized guest drill instructors during their Drill Team Summer Camp at Sandusky Middle School in August. Drill instructors trained them for regional, state and national competitions.
Both squads have a rich tradition of success over the years. The E. C. Glass Air Force JROTC earned a national championship last year and the squad also brought home its fourth straight state title.
The Heritage High School Marine Corp JROTC has been recognized as a School of Distinction and was the state runner-up last year. The group lost only three seniors to graduation and plans to return strong this year to compete for the state title.
