Rotary Youth Ethics Award DayThe Lynchburg Rotary Club honored 12 local students from six high schools at their Rotary Youth Ethics Award Day luncheon in April.

E. C. Glass High School seniors John Burford and Hope Wright, and Heritage High School seniors Kieran Phelps and Jayde Blunt were Lynchburg City Schools’ award recipients. Students from Holy Cross, Liberty Christian Academy, New Covenant Schools, and Virginia Episcopal School were also recognized.

Rotary Club President Anitra Webster expressed the Club’s admiration for the students. “These young people optimize exemplary ethics, and our community is fortunate to have them attending our schools.” Webster presented the students with a Rotary medal and challenged them to continue upholding high standards of conduct.

"All these students are well deserving of this recognition," said E. C. Glass Principal Tracy Richardson. "Through their community service and engagement with their schools, they all truly embody the mission of the Rotary Club which is to foster the ideal of service as a worthy enterprise," she said.
