Virginia History DayFive LCS middle- and high-school projects qualified for Nationals after finishing first or second in the Virginia History Day Contest.

In all, 11 LCS projects placed in the top three of their categories. Student winners represented E. C. Glass and Heritage high schools and Linkhorne Middle School.

The HHS trio of Sierra Foster, Ravdeep Mathone, and Prabdeep Mathone won the Senior Division Group Website category, and the HHS trio of Aaron Burstein, John Jaminet, Tristan Polk won the Senior Division Group Documentary. Both groups were under the leadership of HHS teacher Holly Frazier, who won the event’s teacher of the year award. Katie Morse from E. C. Glass High School won the Senior Division Individual Performance,  and Linkhorne Middle’s Paul Skorcz won the Junior Division Historical Paper category. The LMS duo of Sophie Minnick and Hannah Schindler also qualified for state by finishing second in the Junior Division Group Exhibit.
