E. C. Glass presented a one-act version of Failure: A Love Story by  Philip Dawkins in November at Charlottesville High School as part of the VHSL Conference 23 Theatre Festival. The play, directed by senior Kate Pittard, was named first runner up of the competition. E. C. Glass will take this production to VHSL Regionals at Kettle Run High School in Fauquier County on Nov. 21. Along with the runner-up prize, E. C. Glass actors received special recognition from the judges. Calvin Keener and Luke Mancari both earned honorable mentions for their performances, and Allison Gryder was recognized as Best Actress for the festival.

Heritage also was first runner up in its district for their one act show The Lost Boy. Honorable Mention honors went to Griffin Hammersmith and Best Actor recognitions went to to Avery Collins (5th place), Kenzie Gunter (4th place), and Aaron Burstein (2nd place).
