Fifteen E. C. Glass students participated in the Yom HaShoah service of Holocaust Remembrance in April at Agudath Sholom Synagogue, which featured guest speaker Cantor David Wisnia, a survivor of Auschwitz Concentration Camp. Students either read their poetry or had art work on display as part of the annual Holocaust Awareness Contest sponsored by the Holocaust Education Foundation of Central Virginia.
Participating ECG students included: Susan Gibson, Livy Burnett, Hannah Mendez-Riffee, Maria Navolio, Caroline Guske, Luke Mancari, Sabina Sabat, Cantor David Wisnia, Caleb Slaughter, Anne Marie Guske, Carson Ferguson, Lauren Brown, Redmond Payne, Sierra Wood, and Mary Katherine Guthrie.
