Linkhorne Middle School is the largest of the three middle schools in the Lynchburg City School division. The outstanding teaching staff ensures a warm and safe environment for students to focus on learning objectives and the Virginia Standards of Learning. Linkhorne boasts of excelling in various academic competitions such as Continental Mathematics League and National History Day. Students have the opportunity to diversify and enrich educational experiences with electives like orchestra, horticulture, computer applications, and band to mention a few. In addition there are twelve interscholastic sports and numerous club opportunities. One reason LMS is such a special place is due to the strength of the parent volunteer program which averages over 300 volunteer hours each marking period. Students and staff are proud to be Linkhorne Jaguars!
