Lynchburg City Schools will be closed on Friday, January 19. Students and less-than 12-month employees do not attend. Maintenance, grounds, and custodians report at 8:00 a.m. 12-month employees report at 10:00 a.m.

The Lynchburg City Schools Education Foundation, Inc. offers two types of grants.  If you are planning on applying for a grant, be sure to review the descriptions of each grant along with the Grant Criteria and Grant Guidlines. Please submit all Educational Foundation, Inc. grant applications by 11:30 p.m. on designated deadline date.

2018–2019 Education Grant Application Information & Timeline

 

Classroom Innovation Grants

  • Approximately 40 offered each year
  • Funding level requests not to exceed $2,000
  • March 26, 2018 – Announce Grant Program & Applications
  • March 26, 2018 through May 13, 2018 – Applications Accepted for Spring Grant Cycle
  • May 21, 2018 through September 30, 2018 – Applications Accepted for Fall Grant Cycle
  • May 8, 2019 – Annual Grant Reception

  • Typically up to five offered each year
  • Funding level requests $2,001–$5,000
  • March 26, 2018 – Announce Grant Program & Applications

  • May 21, 2018 through September 30, 2018 – Applications Accepted for Fall Grant Cycle
  • May 8, 2019 – Annual Grant Reception
