Education Foundation Teacher Grants

Grant Criteria

For 2018-2019 Grants:
  • Applications for Classroom Innovation Grants will be accepted starting March 26, 2018 until May 13, 2018 for the Spring Grant Cycle. Applications will be accepted for the Fall Grant Cycle from March 26, 2018 through September 30, 2018.
  • Applications for Master Classroom Innovation Grants will be accepted starting March 26, 2018 until May 13, 2018 for the Spring Grant Cycle. Applications will be accepted for the Fall Grant Cycle from March 26, 2018 through September 30, 2018.
  • School or team proposals impacting either an entire grade or subject level and those impacting an entire school population or division are encouraged as are individual teacher proposals.
Primary consideration will be given to applications which:
  • Reflect a need that is not being met by existing programs
  • Supplement/enrich the curriculum
  • Have measurable results
  • Impact the most students possible
  • Benefit a diverse student group
  • Encourage, facilitate, or reward academic achievement
  • Will be initiated in this grant cycle
Characteristics of projects not typically funded are those which request:
  • Budget without details
  • Materials or supplies ordinarily included in the school/division budget
  • Materials which have no creative or measurable use described for them
  • Projects that qualify for other funding sources
  • Funding for snacks
  • Field trips or other travel funding as the primary budget item
  • Supplementary pay for teachers as a budget item
  • Conferences, seminars, or events
  • Continuing funds for previously funded grant program/project
