What is the Homebound Learning Center?
The Homebound Learning Center is an alternative education environment, which offers programs for students in grades 6-12. Homebound instruction is provided at the Center for those students who are unable to remain in the traditional classroom setting.
How are students placed at the Homebound Learning Center?
The School Board may place a child in the program due to a long-term suspension, so that the child may continue to receive an education. Placement by the school division superintendent will be determined on an individual basis. A child may be placed at this site for medical reasons.
What is the curriculum at the Homebound Learning Center?
Most subject assignments are provided by Standards of Learning-based instructional packets created by school division personnel.
