What is Pride Plus?

Pride Plus provides an opportunity for students (at least 16 years of age and in the 11th or 12th grade) to earn credits toward a high school diploma, experience service learning, and become gainfully employed. TRANSPORTATION IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PARENT/GUARDIAN.

How are students placed at Pride Plus?

Students are referred to Pride Plus through the Amelia Pride Center. Referrals will be reviewed by the director for alternative education. Placement by the school division superintendent will be determined on an individual basis.

What are the benefits of attending Pride Plus?

Attendance at Pride Plus offers students the opportunity to earn credits toward a high school diploma that may otherwise have been unattainable.

Students complete academic requirements through the use of a computer-based program and/or packets. Students receive training in employability skills and job readiness. Students are also given the opportunity to explore college and career options through a variety of resources.
