Partners in Education

What is Partners in Education?

  • Partners in EducationIt is a mutually beneficial program that provides an important way for all who have a stake in our schools to make a contribution.
  • It encourages businesses and schools to come together to create a shared vision about what students need in order to succeed and how all parties can collaborate to provide human and material resources to meet those needs.
  • It pairs businesses, organizations and institutions serving the community with Lynchburg City Schools to enhance and expand the educational opportunities for all children.

Partners In Education is a joint venture between Lynchburg City Schools and the Lynchburg Regional Chamber of Commerce. Officially started on September 3, 1990, this program has been designed to create links between the school division and area businesses. In the 20-year history of the program, Lynchburg City Schools has partnered with over 230 area businesses, organizations, and institutions.
