About the Guidance Department
Purpose
Assist students and their parents to help each child reach his/her academic potential, develop an understanding of themselves and the rights of others, and help them acquire information about career opportunities.Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Standardized Testing
- Maintain Student Records - Enrolling, Withdrawing and Updating Files
- Perform Individualized Counseling
- Perform Group Counseling
- Monitor Student Progress
- Organize Classroom Guidance - Focusing on Career Guidance
- Schedule Parent/Teacher Conferences, as needed
- Refer parents to community programs and resources, as needed
