Nursing Homes/Senior Citizen Centers - Call and say "Partner me with someone who needs or would welcome a young volunteer." Guggenheimer - (434) 974-5100; Avante - (434) 846-8437

Salvation Army and/or Daily Bread - These centers serve meals to needy people 365 days a year and need people to help serve.

Humane Society - You must be 18 to work with the animals, but the Humane Society can always use blankets and food so you could organize a supply drive, or they need people to feed the cats they have at PetSmart. Call (434) 846-7438 ext. 8.

Meals on Wheels - As a family you can volunteer to deliver meals or make "Birthday Boxes" to be delivered with meals. Call (434) 847-0796.

Adult Care Center - "4 O'clock Friends" enjoy having young people play board games with them, read to them, or simply like to have someone to talk with after their scheduled activities end at 2:00 p.m. each day. Call (434) 847-8111.
