Enrichment

Perrymont Elementary School offers an enrichment program for identified students in grades K-5.  These students are invited to participate in grade level specific activities which are designed to enhance the curriculum. Guest speakers, assemblies, and field trips are planned by our Enrichment Committee. 

21st CCLC Events and Activities!

Knitting: Our Knitting Club will meet twice a week. They knit scarves and blankets and plan to donate the blankets to the Salvation Army. For beginners and intermediate. 3:40-5:10 p.m. Transportation provided. Grades: 3-5

Morning Fitness: Exercise before the school day begins! Students learn about different muscle groups and how to exercise them properly. 7:15-8:15 a.m. Must have own form of transportation. Grades: K-5

Family Game Night: Open to all 21st CCLC Families, we will have a game night every 4th Tuesday of the month. There will be dinner, a guest speaker, and time for a board game with your family! 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Academic Programs: We will offer Reading (Mon.), Math (Tues.), and Science (Wed.) on a weekly basis. Students will be taught in a small group setting. 3:40-5:10 p.m. Transportation provided. Grades: 3-5

Mini Economy: Through our partnership with Center of Economic Education of Lynchburg College, students learn about and build their own economy and business every Thursday! They attend the Lynchburg College Market Day in the Spring to show off their products and businesses. 3:40-5:10 p.m. Transportation Provided. Grades: 3-5

Lego Robotics: Students learn to build and program legos every Thursday! They will compete in the Lego League and Junior Lego League Competition. 3:40-5:10 p.m. Transportation Provided. Grades: 3-5

Sylvan Ace It! Tutoring Program: A 28-week tutoring program provided by one of our partners, the Sylvan Learning program. Saturdays, 9:00 a.m.-noon. Limited transportation provided. Grades: 2-4

2nd Grade After School: Students meet in a small group with their teacher to work on specific areas of need. Transportation provided. One day a week, 3:40-5:10 p.m. 2nd grade only.

Chess Club: Students learn the game of chess! For those that are wanting to learn to advanced level players. Fridays, 3:40-5:10 p.m. Transportation provided. Grades: 3-5

Field Trips: Different out-of-school time field trips throughout the year, that are specific to after-school programs.

24 Challenge Team: Students learn the 24 Game in order to compete in the spring competition. Grades: 4-5

Sylvan Writing & Study Skills Bootcamp: Our partnership with Sylvan will give 5th grade students a skills boot camp right before SOLs! 5th grade only.

Sylvan STEAM: Our partnership with Sylvan will provide select students with a STEAM activity every month. Grades and dates TBA.
