2017 SMS Chromebook Distribution

Dear Parent / Guardian, As a parent or guardian of an 8th grader, you are invited to come to school on August 29 between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. to pick up a Chromebook with your child. Please see the flyer for more information about the Chromebooks.

There will be four stations set up in the cafeteria:

1. Filling out the Chromebook contract

2. Filling out the ADP (insurance) and paying the $20. You may use My School Bucks for the $20 payment either on campus or online before you arrive.

3. Getting the Chromebook, charger and bag checked out to the student

4. Checking the Chromebook (with technicians and staff to help) to be sure all is working and the student is able to login and that all 3 components are there (Chromebook, charger and bag)

If you want to do steps 1 and 2 ahead of time, you may fill out the contract and ADP (included in this packet) and bring these with you on August 29. Then you can skip steps 1 and 2 and go straight to step 3 to pick up your Chromebook.

If you cannot attend the day of August 29, please bring the forms and payment to the office before August 29. Please see Tricia Marshall (Office Manager) during school office hours. You must bring the forms yourself if you are not purchasing the ADP. If you purchase the ADP, your child may bring the forms to Ms. Marshall and you will not need to come in. We will checkout the Chromebook to the students who do not come the 29th during the day on August 30 (provided contracts and ADP are turned in before then).

** When filling out the contract, please read it carefully, especially noting the highlighted parts. Please fill out only the parts with asterisks * and note the very last section is only to be filled out if those last two items apply to you, otherwise please leave it blank.
