Technology

As the first magnet school established in Lynchburg, T. C. Miller has focused on technology. The school has One-to-One devices in Fourth and Fifth grades where every child has a laptop for their use all day.  We also have  2 carts of laptops, and a cart of Chromebooks for other grade levels to share, as well as student computers in the classroom. Every classroom has a SMART Board, an interactive whiteboard to enhance learning and many have digital presenters.

The 21st Century Program has three carts of laptops and a cart of iPads to use with the students in the Program.

Our science lab has Quizdom software and a set of that company's response pads and a 3D printer. The art room has a mounted SMART Board, digital drawing slates, and a color scanner. Our media center uses the electronic card catalogue, Destiny,

Our school has its own LAN, as well as being networked by fiber optic cable to the Wide Area Network. All computers in our school have internet or wifi connections. Students are also taught how to operate state-of-the art sound and lighting equipment in our auditorium. A stage crew of students often manage this machinery in our school's numerous productions.
