<p><strong>ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:</strong><br />
	The special education instructional assistant reports to the building principal, administrative designee.</p>
<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>High School Diploma or GED.</li>
<li>Minimum of sixty (60) credit hours from an accredited post-secondary institution or career technical facility; or an Associate&rsquo;s Degree; or successfully completed the ParaPro assessment.</li>
<li>Some experience in working with children.</li>
<li>A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>PERFORMANCE&nbsp;RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Assist classroom teacher in performing specific duties as assigned or undertaking specialized tasks to achieve and enhance instructional objectives.</li>
<li>Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce material introduced by teacher.</li>
<li>Provide programmed practice activities and repetitions as developed by teacher.</li>
<li>Assist with large and small group activities.</li>
<li>Guide independent study and other work assigned by teacher.</li>
<li>Report student problems to the teacher and assists with student problems.</li>
<li>Assist with loading and unloading buses.</li>
<li>Supervise students during unstructured time such as lunch and recess.</li>
<li>Assist with student routines.</li>
<li>Perform related work as required.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>SALARY TERMS:</strong><br />
	This is a 10-month position with full benefits. </p>
<p>Teacher Assistant I salary range is $10,923.00 &ndash; 16,523.00. Teacher Assistant II salary range is $12,043.00 &#8211; $18,215.00. Salaries are based upon the&nbsp;following:</p>
<ol>
<li>Teacher Assistant I: ($10,923.00 beginning salary) A minimum of sixty (60) hours college credit; or successfully completing the ParaPro</li>
<li>Teacher Assistant II: ($12, 043 beginning salary) Associate&rsquo;s Degree or higher</li>
