Heritage High School art teacher Jon Roark was chosen for first place at the Hill Center Galleries Regional Juried Exhibition. Mr. Roark entered a painting in the art show that covered multiple states. Out of 600 entries, 100 were chosen to move through, and the curator of the National Gallery in Washington, D.C. judged that out of all the entries, Mr. Roark’s painting was best in show.
