Lynchburg City Schools is holding an information session about the Empowerment Academy on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at E. C. Glass High School in the Marie Waller Lecture Hall.

The Empowerment Academy is a high school option designed to meet the needs of students who would benefit from an alternative high school setting to obtain academic success. Our focus group of students for entering the first year will be 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. The Empowerment Academy, located at the Boys and Girls Club, will begin enrollment for the 2016-2017 academic school year very soon. Please join us as we discuss entry criteria and program design with interested students and community stakeholders.
