LCS Community Conversations January 10. Be part of the plan.

On Thursday, January 10, 2019,  LCS Superintendent Crystal Edwards will host Community Conversations, an opportunity for staff, students, parents, and invested members of the local community to weigh in on the school division’s strategic plan. This event will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Commons area of Heritage High School.

Who should come?

Anyone in the Lynchburg community who is invested in the education of our youth. This includes current students and employees, LCS graduates, parents of LCS students or graduates, and community members who feel they have something to contribute to the school division.

What is this event about?

This event is an opportunity for you to contribute to the strategic plan for Lynchburg City Schools. Topics you will actively be able to discuss include:

  • Curriculum and Instruction (focus on Reading)
  • Behavior and Engaging Learning Environment
  • Attendance
  • Special Education
  • Community Involvement and Engagement

Why should you come?

We need your input! Each individual's perspective is unique and valuable. Also, there will be FREE childcare, and dinner and entertainment will be provided by LCS students for all in attendance.  Free transportation to and from the event is also available upon request.
