LCS will offer summer learning opportunities to eligible students, i.e. credit recovery, SOL Academy, and participation in Health 9/PE 9 and Personal Finance & Economics (only for first time class takers).

Students and parents are encouraged to review grades in Infinite Campus and consult with core teachers (English, math, science and/or history/social studies) to determine if a summer course is needed in that subject area.

Summer School Opportunities for Credit Recovery (no fee)

LCS Summer School Credit Recovery is an opportunity for students to recover up to two high-school course credits. The credit recovery program will only offer core courses (English, Math, Science, or History) for recovery during the summer session.

Registration forms for summer school credit recovery must be completed by May 26, 2021.

Summer SOL Academy: 11th and 12th graders only (no fee)

SOL Academy will be offered for 11th and 12th grade students only who have passed their course but failed the corresponding SOL test. Remediation classes will be offered to reinforce concepts needed to retake the SOL test.

Summer Online Opportunities

The courses noted below are only for first time takers, this does not apply to students who need credit recovery (failed the course and need to retake it). The fee is $225 for each course.

If you have any questions, please review the information and reach out to your English, math, science and/or history teacher, and your school counselor.
