Dear LCS community, 

We have some highlights to share with you from our Tuesday, May 17, 2022, Lynchburg City School Board Work Session.

The School Board discussed the budget requests priority list in light of budgeted revenue from the City and in anticipation of revenue from the state. Superintendent Dr. Crystal Edwards recommended that staff receive a contingent contract with a 5% pay increase pending funding from the state.

The last session of Community Conversations: Facilities Study will be held on Monday, May 23 at 6:00 p.m. at Providence Transformation Church International. The meeting will occur in the Fellowship Hall located at 400 Oakley Avenue. All are invited to attend.

The next School Board Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 7 at 5:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the School Administration Building, and the next School Board Work Session is scheduled for Tuesday, June 21 at 5:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the School Administration Building.
