In collaboration with their school partners, master partnerships are developed and a plan is established according to identified goals. These goals can be met by any or all of the following partnerings.
Tutor/Mentor Partners reinforce instruction, motivate and guide students, provide role models, and instill confidence in young people.
Co-Op Partners permit practical on-the-job experiences for students at supervised training sites, provide an extension of their actual instructional program.
Resource Partners are area businesses and other groups who donate equipment, supplies, provide technical equipment, facilities, or financial assistance to schools, staff, and students.
Volunteer Partners assist school staff and provide direct assistance to students in specific curriculum areas.
Internship Partners provide opportunities for students to learn about educational and training requirements for jobs and career interests.
Senior Partners acknowledge the valuable contributions made by senior citizens to Lynchburg City Schools and create a structure to encourage their continued active involvement.
