The board shall own and operate such motor vehicles as shall be necessary for the transportation system, the central office, the maintenance of buildings and grounds, the bus garage and supportive services for the school lunch program.
A delivery service may be maintained within the school division for the sole purpose of distributing official school communications and materials.
Material from a non-school affiliated source must have the permission of the Superintendent prior to delivery.
Each fiscal year the School Board shall determine the number of school buses to be purchased. Specifications for these bodies and chassis shall be in compliance with the regulations of the State Board of Education.
Under no condition may school vehicles be used for private purposes.
