2 Hour Delay
When Lynchburg City Schools have a 2-hour delay, we will operate on the following schedule:

When we are on a 2-hour delay schedule, student who typically transition to their high school, will remain at The Empowerment Academy. Remediation/review and/or study hall will take place for students during the time that they would typically transition to their high school. Students will not be penalized and/or counted absent for not attending their courses at the high school.
If Lynchburg City Schools close early, students who typically transition to their high school, will remain at The Empowerment Academy until dismissal.
Only the Superintendent can make the decision to close or cancel school.
