While virtual learning may not be ideal for everyone, it is an excellent choice for many!  That's why we are here...because we saw an opportunity to further our LCS mission of every child, by name and by need, to graduation and beyond. 
 
For many students, virtual learning allows students to thrive in new ways while teachers personalize their learning. At the Virtual Academy, that's where our focus remains...personalized learning for every child. 
 
Our students at the Virtual Academy will have the best of both worlds! They will be learning online with Virtual Academy teachers who work right here in our LCS community as well as with Virtual Virginia. AND Students will still be connected to their base schools and have access to many in-person electives and extracurricular activities.

While our students will be learning virtually, our staff will be located at our headquarters: 701 Thomas Road. Parents and guardians can call to schedule an appointment if you need to meet with a staff member in person. We are here to help!

Students in Virtual Virginia courses will follow the Virtual Virginia Academic Calendar.

Students in LCS teacher-led courses will follow the LCS Academic Calendar.
