Inclement Weather Postponements Posted on February 8th, 2010

Due to impending inclement weather, the GEAR UP Parent Night scheduled for Tuesday, February 9 at 6:30 PM in Merritt Building at CVCC has been cancelled.  A new date will be announced at a later time.

The girls’ JV basketball game scheduled for Monday, February 8 has been cancelled. The girls’ varsity basketball game at Liberty will be played at 6:30 PM.

The boys’ JV basketball game scheduled for Monday, February 8 has been cancelled. The boys’ varsity basketball game vs Jefferson Forest at HHS will be played at 6:00 PM.

Pioneer Theatre presents “Peter Pan” Posted on February 1st, 2010

Pioneer Theatre proudly presents the musical, Peter Pan. One of the best musicals of all time; Peter Pan is a play that always captures the imagination and never fails to make audiences “believe” in fairies. Come to Neverland with Heritage High School this winter, and experience the musical adventure of a lifetime with Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Hook, Tiger Lily, Wendy, and the other familiar characters. This main-stage show is filled with oodles of fantasy and imagination, featuring fantastical flying, singing, dancing, and a story that will uplift and inspire children and adults alike.

Show times are February 26, 27, and March 4, 5, 6 at 7:00 PM. A Sunday matinee will be at 2:00 PM on February 28. Tickets are $8.00 for students and senior citizens and $10.00 for adults.

Special children’s matinees will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 27 and Saturday, March 6. Special attractions for children will follow these performances. Tickets for the children’s matinees are $5.00 all seats. Please note that these are reserved seats and should be purchased in advance at Heritage High School only.

Postponements / Cancellations - Jan. 29-30 Posted on January 29th, 2010

Due to impending inclement weather, there are several changes in events scheduled for Friday, January 29 and Saturday, January 30.

Friday, January 29
1. The swim meet at the Jamerson YMCA has been cancelled. There is no swim practice this afternoon.
2. All four of the Heritage basketball games @ E. C. Glass tonight are still scheduled to be played. The varsity girls’ basketball game and the JV boys’ basketball game will be played in the two E. C. Glass gyms starting at 6:00 PM while the jv girls’ game and the varsity boys’ game will follow the conclusion of the first two games, again being played at the same time in the two Glass gyms.
3. There will be one activity bus run today at 4:30 PM.
4. All behind the wheel driver’s training has been cancelled.

Saturday, January 30
1. Project Doubleteam, scheduled for the HHS Fieldhouse, has been cancelled.
2. The Forensic trip to Salem has been postponed.
3. The Seminole District ACE Tournament at Jefferson Forest has been postponed until Monday @ 4:30 PM.
4. The HHS JV Invitational Indoor Track Meet has been postponed until next Saturday.
5. The Heritage Indoor Track trip to the Virginia Tech Invitational has been cancelled.
6. There is no indoor track practice on Saturday.
7. The wrestling team’s trip to the Monticello Invitational has been cancelled.
8. Saturday School has been cancelled.
9. All behind the wheel driver’s training has been cancelled.

HHS Tops at Regional Marketing Competition Posted on January 27th, 2010

On Tuesday, January 26, students from the marketing program at HHS competed in the regional marketing/DECA competition at CVCC. HHS students came away with six of the eight first place winnings. The following students earned first place honors in their respective events and will now compete at the state marketing competition in Norfolk the second weekend in March.
