Several juniors and seniors at Heritage and E. C. Glass high schools have been chosen to participate in an internship program with AREVA, NOVATech and The Babcock & Wilcox Company.

These companies work with local high schools to provide internship opportunities to juniors and seniors interested in engineering. Those selected from E. C. Glass are: seniors Samantha Casey, Sam Hyman, Kendrick Rose, L. J. Ross, Heather Smith, Alex Van Buskirk, Michael Daniel, Alex Hallett and Kellen Newby; and juniors Kenneth Conway, Colin Olson and Walker Paxton. Those selected from Heritage are: seniors  Adriel Lau, Thong Nguyen, Eraina Tweedy, Joseph Link, Kyler Berthiaume and Muneeb Chaudhry.

These students will work directly with different engineers based on their own interests. Each student shadows the engineer they are assigned to four times in a semester giving students valuable job exposure. This helps them decide whether or not they want to choose engineering as a career. This partnership has also provided these companies with many employees who were part of the internship program themselves while in high school.
