LES students standing with "souper bowl" canned food drive itemsThe students at Linkhorne Elementary school have chosen their favorite for this weekend’s Super Bowl! The LES students participated in a two-week long “souper” bowl canned food drive, where they brought in a non-perishable food item and placed it in a bag that represented one of the two teams facing off this weekend. Finally, the results are in with the Eagles winning 538-189—cans that is. Nearly every one of LES’s 433 students brought in at least one food item. For the past four years, LES students, led by teacher Theodore Finney, have participated in this fundraiser as part of their school’s community service initiatives. Great job LES!
