The Honorable Joan F. Foster gave the commencement address during the graduation exercises held for students of the Amelia Pride Center. The ceremony was held in the Carl Anderson Performing Arts Auditorium at Dunbar Middle School for Innovation on May 25. Eight students received high school diplomas and twenty students received GED certificates. Fourteen adults from the Adult Learning Center also took part in the ceremony receiving either a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
The Amelia Pride Center is an alternative education environment which offers programs for students in grades 9-12.
