Coach Brad BradleyHeritage High School varsity football coach Brad Bradley was notified by a representative of the Washington Redskins today that he has been named the organization’s high school football coach of the week.

Coach Bradley will receive a Redskins’ hat and certificate as well as a check for $1,000 to be used for his program. Coach Bradley intends to use that for his team’s pre-game meals.

“While there is no disputing Coach Bradley's influence on our football program in his short stretch of time with Heritage, I have always believed that any such award is also a reflection on the assistant coaches on his staff and the character and talent of his players,” said Mark Storm, athletic director at Heritage High School.

The Pioneers are undefeated after five games this year, including coming off a 27-0 victory over Amherst County last Friday. They take on Martinsville this Friday, October 5th, at 7:00 p.m. at City Stadium for their Homecoming game.
