The LCS winners of the 2013 Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) Art Contest were:
Jersey Kelso – Heritage Elementary, 3rd grade, "D-Day Memorial"
Grace Chun – Sandusky Middle, 7th grade, "The Mighty King"
Briannah Ecklund – Heritage High School, 9th grade, "Piedmont Building"
Each student artist was recognized by the Lynchburg City School Board and awarded with a gift certificate. Their artwork will be judged this month in the Southern Regional Competition at Lunenburg for selection to be displayed in the VSBA offices in Charlottesville and Richmond.
