LCS strings students are continuing the tradition as they return to the stage for the 42nd Annual Suzuki Festival.

On Thursday, March 14th at 7:00 p.m., the Lynchburg City Schools strings program will be hosting its annual division-wide event in the E. C. Glass Auditorium. Strings students performed earlier in March at River Ridge Mall for the Mall Marathon in preparation for this concert. Below are photos from that performance.

Under a new format this year, the concert will begin with the combined sixth-grade orchestras and will involve only K-6, except for high school students as song leaders. The concert will begin with two selections by the combined sixth grade orchestras; then the lower voice instruments perform, followed by violin selections and fiddle tunes from book 4. The evening will conclude with Twinkle Variations as all K-6 grade strings students perform together on stage.

Come and enjoy this long-standing LCS tradition! The concert is free and open to the public.
