HHS

Fall sports

  • Varsity football team reaches state championship game
  • Varsity football coach Brad Bradley is named Washington Redskins Coach of the Week

Winter sports

  • Cameron Foster advanced to the State Swim Meet. Shorter
  • Wrestler Eric Smith advanced to the State Wrestling Tournament.
  • Cameron Carter was the Seminole and Region III Girls' Basketball player of the year.
  • Boys Varsity Basketball Seminole District regular season co-champs along with ECG and Region III Champions; reached state quarterfinals
  • Girls Varsity Basketball Seminole regular season and tournament champions and Region III Champions; reached state quarterfinals
  • Numerous track and field athletes advanced out of the Region III Meet to the State Indoor Track and Field Meet
  • Latrice Morris won a number of events at the district, regional, and state indoor track meets, including the State 55 Meter dash.
  • Football players Ishantii' Rosser and Andrew Griffin have signed to play football and attend UVA-Wise in the fall.

ECG

Fall sports

  • Won 4 of the 8 Seminole District Championships  (Volleyball regular season and tournament, Boys' Cross Country and Golf)
  • Won 2 Regional Championships (Volleyball and Boys' Cross Country.)
  • Girls' Cross Country was Region Runner-up.
  • Volleyball reached state Final 4
  • Varsity football reached playoffs.
  • David Cardwell was the Region III Volleyball Coach of the Year and Paige Riley was the Player of the Year.  Sarah Thomas was the Player of the Year in the Area for volleyball.
  • Jerry Salmon was the District, Area, and Region Boys' Cross Country Coach of the Year.
  • Amy Trent was the District Coach of the Year for Girls' Cross Country.
  • Mike Anthony was the District Coach of the Year for Golf.

Winter sports

  • E. C. Glass Indoor Track and Field teams win Region III Championships and Seminole District Championships
  • Rodney Smith named Regional and Seminole District Boys and Girls Track Coach of the Year
  • Wrestlers Carter Lovern and Tyson Spinner compete in State Wrestling Tournament
  • Carter Lovern placed 5th in State Wrestling Tournament and named to all-state team.
  • Matt Walling named Seminole District Coach of the Year
  • Swim team has several swimmers compete in state meet
  • Patrick Frankfort named Seminole District Swim Coach of the Year
  • Varsity ACE Team wins district and regional championships; ties for 5th in state championship Scholastic Bowl
  • Forensics team won Seminole District Tournament
  • Boys Varsity Basketball reaches state semifinals in Richmond
