ECG Class of 1964 Beacon of Hope DonationThe E. C. Glass Class of 1964 celebrated their 50th reunion in September. One of the highlights was the dedication of two bronze plaques honoring the veterans in their class and specifically two who died in Vietnam: John Bass and Bobby Unrue. Kay Vaughan, a member of the Class of 1964, introduced E. C. Glass Principal Tracy Richardson who welcomed the class. The E. C. Glass award-winning Air Force JROTC presented colors, and the A'Cafellas sang The National Anthem. Although long overdue, the Class of 1964 officially welcomed home their classmates.

Also during this reunion, the class raised over $17,000 for the Beacon of Hope, an LCS partner program whose purpose is to instill in all Lynchburg City School students the aspiration to pursue, and to provide them with the tools and resources to attain, a post-secondary education.
