Lynchburg City Schools students Katie Salmon, Chloe Seng, Xan Shen, Rick Smallshaw, and Annalisha Staples were among the more than 100 students from the region to participate in the South Central Senior Regional Orchestra hosted by E. C. Glass High School. This was an audition-only ensemble that is formed annually with talented musicians in grades 9-12. Not only was E. C. Glass host for the event, but Virginia native and Glass alumnus Anthony Parnther traveled from Los Angeles to act as guest conductor. Following a day-and-a-half of intense rehearsals, the students performed America the BeautifulMars from The Planets suite, and E.T. Adventures on Earth.
