The Lynchburg City Schools Education Foundation manages sponsored scholarships. Businesses and civic groups are invited to sponsor scholarships and can identify their preferred eligibility requirements for qualification. The following scholarships are currently available:
TMR ScholarshipFinancial assistance to one African American student graduating from E.C. Glass High School and one from Heritage High School who plans to continue his/her education at an accredited college or university.
Any African American senior at E. C. Glass and Heritage High Schools may apply. Any student applying for a scholarship must enter an accredited college or university in the fall following graduation. Application forms, which will be available in the schools’ counseling office in the spring, must be completed and returned by April 17, 2013.
Scholarships will be awarded to students showing outstanding merit, especially in these areas:
