NOVEMBER PTO BOARD MEETING (RESCHEDULED)

The November PTO meeting, originally scheduled for tonight, Nov. 4, has been rescheduled and will now be held on Thursday, November 13, at 7:00 p.m. All BHS families are welcome and free childcare for school aged children is provided in the cafeteria.

VIOLIN

Please encourage students to practice daily—especially since they will not have school on Tuesday. All violin students should have brought home the November violin practice calendar. Please place concert dates and  dates for no violin lesson on your personal calendar. I am hoping every violin student will earn a charm for practice in November. There are a few students who are frequently forgetting to bring the violin on lesson days. Please help your child make a habit of bringing the violin for every lesson.

I encourage all parents to bring their family to hear the Senior Regional Orchestra Concert at E.C. Glass on Saturday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m. This is a full orchestra comprised of 9-12 grade students from across our region who were selected by audition. I am proud to announce that of the 6 Lynchburg students selected, 4 of them are former Bedford Hills violin students. They are Katie Salmon, Brady Mandeville, Drew Morris and Emily Mullen. The concert will only be about 30 minutes in length - ideal for young listeners. Come and be amazed!

More advanced students received an invitation to perform with the Lynchburg Youth Symphony Orchestra on December 15, if they can prepare the music in advance of the performance. This is always a great playing and listening opportunity. I would prefer that you register by the Google Form address listed on the invitation.

BOXTOPS UPDATE

Congratulations to Mrs. West's/White's class for collecting the most Box Tops this fall! They will receive a small treat this week for their efforts. Please continue to save any clipped Box Tops that are not expired. And remember to download and use the new Box Tops app. It's easy to scan your receipts, and the Box Tops rewards are added immediately to the school's account.
