Congratulations to the following orchestra students who successfully auditioned for the South Central West Junior Regional Orchestra:
- Miriam Cate
- Isaac Hardin
- Matthew Kauppi
- Andrew Lewis
- Ivy Elizabeth Mann
- Jacob Mitchell
- Layton Morris
- Wendy Oluwaji
- Margaret Phillips, and
- Richelle Zheng
These students had to learn and play several scales, two prepared pieces, and then play a piece of music that they have never seen before in front of judges and were ranked based on scores and were competing against other students in the region from grades 7 to 9.
A special shoutout goes to Isaac Hardin, who placed 1st in the region out of 91 violins that auditioned and Miriam Cate, who placed 2nd in the region on cello. All of these students will be attending the Junior Regional Honors Orchestra event at the end of March. Congrats again to all!
