KINDERGARTEN PARENTS: IMPORTANT LETTER FROM OUR SCHOOL NURSE

Hello Kindergarten Parents!

Welcome to in person learning at Bedford Hills! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and inform you of a couple things. First I want you to know that I love my job and enjoy taking care of the students at Bedford Hills.

Here are a couple things I’d like to ask of you:

  1. Please keep a spare set of clothes for your child (including underwear and socks) in a ziplock bag in your child’s backpack. Accidents happen and clothes become soiled. Having a spare set of clothes helps us return your child back to their class as quickly as possible.
  2. Should your child need medication during school hours, please contact me before bringing it to the school (515-5211). Medications should not be sent to school with your child.
  3. LCS requires a signed physicians authorization for any medications that your child may need to take at school.
  4. In the event that your child becomes ill at school, I will contact you by the phone number on file. If your number changes during the school year, please make sure it is updated in our records.
  5. I will contact you if your child has a fever (a temperature greater than 100°), is vomiting or has diarrhea. Should any of these symptoms occur, you will be asked to pick your child up from school.
  6. If your child has a chronic medical condition such as food allergies, asthma, diabetes or seizures, PLEASE contact me as soon as possible (515-5211).

I look forward to working with you to help your kids stay healthy.
